No card, ever — not to sign up and not to keep using the free plan. A new account gets seven days with every feature unlocked: speed, looping, the metronome, transpose, capo, MIDI and PDF. After those seven days you are on Free, which is ten songs a month with the full chart, every instrument shape, the chord on a stave and time-synced lyrics, and it stays that way for good. The paid features simply stop; nothing is deleted and nothing is charged.

Nothing is taken away and no card is asked for. Your songs, chords and history all stay. The paid controls stop working and are shown greyed out where they were, so you can see what a plan would give you rather than wondering what disappeared. The trial runs once per account and does not come round again.

Count roughly how many new songs you pick up in a month. Under ten, stay on Free. Up to about fifty, the yearly plan is the cheapest way to get there. More than that — or you'd rather not count — take the monthly one.

Because they're two different plans, not one plan at two prices. The yearly plan is priced for someone working through a few songs a week, so it carries a fifty-a-month cap. The monthly one is priced for the weeks you have no idea how many you'll need, so it has no cap. Neither is a tier above the other — they're priced for different habits.

Each new track you analyse. Replaying a song you've already done, transposing it, slowing it down or practising with it costs nothing and never counts again.

On the 1st of every month. Songs you didn't use don't carry over into the next one.

Yes — analysing a track needs one, so your songs have somewhere to live and your count is yours across devices. Signing up is free and starts you on ten songs a month.

We keep a small compressed copy so you can play the song back later, and delete the original file straight away. On Free that copy goes when you sign out, and about a day after upload in any case. On a paid plan it stays as long as your plan runs, plus a week's grace. Your chords are never deleted.

Very good on most recordings. Clear harmony reads best; dense or heavily distorted mixes are harder, which is why Beginner and Intermediate modes are there to simplify what you see while you learn it. You only ever see chords that were actually found in the track.

Yes, on every plan, the free one included. Whichever chord is playing is drawn on a treble stave with the note names underneath, and the stave changes as the song moves. The spelling follows the chord, so C minor is written C, E♭, G rather than C, D♯, G. It is the chord's notes — not a transcription of the recording, so no melody and no rhythm.

Yes. Shift the key and the track itself moves with it — the pitch changes while the tempo stays put, so the beat grid still lines up.

Whenever you like. You keep what you've paid for until it runs out — the end of the month on Pro Monthly, the end of the year on Pro Yearly — then you drop back to ten songs a month. Your chord history stays either way.
